Computational Neuroscience - Algoritmusok az Agyban
Angol nyelvű kurzus. - An intensive course combining theory and programming at the Aquincum Institute of Technology focusing on the algorithms underlying perception, decision making and learning in the brain.
Time: Spring term, TBA
Location: Graphisoft park, AIT building
Teachers: Mihály Bányai, Balázs Ujfalussy
Description: The aim of the course is to familiarise the students with some of the landscape of algorithmic modelling approaches to the way humans and animals learn and act, as well as the underlying neurophysiology. By placing those approaches on a principled mathematical and natural scientific foundation, we aim to give the students the ability to critically assess published results in both neuroscience and artificial intelligence, as well as gain hands-on experience in developing an algorithmic model to a set of observations.
Prerequisite: Basic linear algebra, probability theory, calculus and python programming
