The OptiTrack system is designed to perform the finest 3D motion capture for movies, but above the artistic purpose - particularly because of it's preciseness - it has great utility in scientific research too. With the multiple camera configuration, we can accurately follow the marked animal spatiotemporally and record even the slightest move which may have behavioural relevance. Paired with electrophysiological methods, it is a gerat tool to study manifest behaviour parallel to brain activity.

For multiplex behavioural tasks, we designed an entirely automated maze system for mice. The hardware comprises removable walls and closures, so different route configurations can be presented to the animals. From the custom designed electrical circuits to the software, we concentrated on modularity and flexibility to perform various experiments from the very simple to the highly complicated.
