Csaba Fekete Received the Academic Award
The Academy Award was presented to Csaba Fekete, head of the institute’s Integrative Neuroendocrinology Research Group, at a ceremonial meeting of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences in recognition of his outstanding research work and achievements to date. We offer our heartfelt congratulations!
The award citation highlights that Csaba’s research has contributed significantly to a deeper understanding of the brain’s regulation of thyroid function and to the development of a new regulatory model; his outstanding findings 
have helped elucidate the mechanisms leading to the development of low T3 syndrome, He played an important role in developing a diagnostic procedure for assessing the effects of tissue thyroid hormone, and his research findings regarding the mechanism of action of GLP-1 receptor agonist drugs are also significant.
