On the sixth of February 2025, the Budapest University of Technology and Economics was also the scene of an important event for our Institute.

At the opening ceremony of the National Research, Development and Innovation Office's five billion HUF GINOP Plus project "Development of RDI ecosystems", co-funded by the Hungarian State and the European Union, 61 research infrastructures, either individual or networked, which have achieved significant results at international level, were awarded the certificate of excellence.

Two central units of our institute can also boast of this distinction: the Microscopy Centre, which includes the Electron Microscopy Centre headed by Dr Gábor Nyiri and the Light Microscopy Centre headed by Dr Pál Vági, and the Medical Genetic Engineering Department headed by Dr Ferenc Erdélyi.

Our institute was represented at the ceremony by Dr. Szilvia Kőszegi, as the contact person/coordinator of the Microscopy Centre.

Congratulations for the title of excellence achieved with the successful work so far and we wish you even greater achievements and successes!
