3DHISTECH is a Hungarian company founded in 1996 that manufactures digital object scanners and develops software.

By now, the company is well known and successful in many countries around the world. Its products are widely used in both clinical and research settings, as the combination of state-of-the-art hardware, intelligent software, and efficient data management allows users to modernize their workflows. With the help of 3DHistech's devices and software, it is already possible to scan hundreds of slides per day, as well as the results of various experiments preserved on these slides with different stains, and then evaluate them with microscopic image analysis programs.

The company gave a presentation at our institute on December 10, 2025, and talked about their latest developments.

Light microscopy examinations are essential for many of our institute's research programs, and several of our working groups have already been using the best 3DHistech scanner available to date. Following the current agreement, we will also have the opportunity to take advantage of the latest developments.

The next step after the introductory presentation is to form a KOKI development team ("core team"). This team will work together with 3DHISTECH on specific projects. The plans include joint applications, publications, and patents.

The presentations at KOKI included a brief introduction to the company (Pál Szijártó: Company Presentation), Our former colleague, Márton Mayer (Marci), presented the latest generation of MIDI scanners under the title RX Scanners, which, thanks to its new fluorescent and transmission solutions, offers unique opportunities for the application of whole slide imaging (WSI) technology in neuroscience research. Gergely Kovách introduced us to confocal technology based on the principle of structured illumination used in pedignma Pannoramic Confocal and Whole Slide Confocal scanners, as well as solutions that facilitate scanning.

We hope that we have taken the first step on a long and successful journey together.
